# Builder Note BN-01: Building INSCRIBE

- **Project:** CyberdelicOS
- **Status:** Living, versioned
- **Version:** 1.0
- **Date:** August 15, 2026

*Cyberdelic.space is a decentralized imagination press and one of the first working organs of CyberdelicOS.*

The Kernel names **INSCRIBE**: a small number of works may cross, deliberately and ceremonially, into permanent public memory. Cyberdelic.space turns that sentence into an operation.

The press separates memory by temperature. Drafts, questions, and field notes can remain living, versioned, and revisable. A rare work can be reviewed by a person, fixed as exact bytes, and inscribed into Bitcoin. The press then publishes the evidence needed to verify those bytes and makes the whole library easy to copy.

## The operation

1. Create in living memory.
2. Decide what deserves to address the future.
3. Ratify the exact work, its provenance, rights, and consequences.
4. Inscribe it at real cost.
5. Publish its receipt: content bytes, digest, transaction, and block.
6. Tend its legibility through readers, records, and mirrors.

INSCRIBE is the primary verb. The press also **CARRIES** each work with context, **RATIFIES** consequential publication through human choice, and **TENDS** access across time. It also clarifies the boundary of **FORGET**: permanence has meaning only when most memory is allowed to remain private, revisable, or gone.

## What this protects

- The difference between a draft and a publication.
- A published work from silent revision.
- A reader's ability to verify without trusting the publisher.
- The right of most memory never to cross this threshold.

Bitcoin can establish that particular bytes entered public history. It cannot establish that they are true, wise, humane, or worthy. Cyberdelic.space is therefore not a truth machine. It is an editorial and technical ritual for making consequence visible.

## Questions still open

- What deserves irreversible memory?
- What ceremony is sufficient before inscription?
- How should later correction or dissent stand beside a work that cannot change?
- How can consent remain meaningful when publication cannot be undone?
