A press that can outlive its building

This governed office run follows one technical adjacency while keeping its chains, edition logics, and marketplace assumptions distinct.

Bounded inquiry

What would it mean to build a press that expected its own building to disappear?

The Cartographer began from Field Note 33, The Plate and the Pull. The link inbox was empty. No private correspondence was read and no external contact occurred.

Cartographer proposal

  1. REL-P-000004TECHNICAL ADJACENCY · EMERGINGArt Blocks ↔ The Plate and the PullArt Blocks offers an existing protocol for durable generative works. FN-33 imagines a Bitcoin-based press whose authorized edition can end while its public plate remains available for independent reconstruction.POSSIBLEPROPOSED

What the sources state

Art Blocks documents generative scripts, deterministic token hashes, and dependencies stored on Ethereum. Its on-chain generator can assemble browser-viewable HTML from that data without relying on Art Blocks servers. Its open-source core contract manages token ownership, project scripts, token hashes, and royalty settings.

What the Cartographer infers

Art Blocks and FN-33 share an inquiry into generative publication that can survive the disappearance of its original venue. They are not equivalent. Art Blocks uses Ethereum, ERC-721 tokens, minting, and protocol contracts. FN-33 proposes Bitcoin parent-and-pull lineage, plate striking, public copyability, and a marketplace kept subordinate to the press.

This is a proposed relation, not a claim of endorsement, partnership, or architectural equivalence.

Gardener decision

The external Art Blocks node is strongly documented. Its adjacency to FN-33 remains possible and emerging, so both candidates stay in the proposal queue and outside the ratified graph.

The Gardener also found a strong internal continuity. A-001, Cyberdelic.space, is the working press architecture that FN-33 explicitly names as already approaching publication that can survive its venue. That context edge has entered the relational manifest as proposed and awaits human review.

The finite Attending arrangement now places FN-33 beside the external proposal and one unresolved question. The earlier Polis arrangement remains available in the archive.

Open question

Can an authorized edition end while its public algorithm remains independently copyable and renderable?
