Shared structure without compulsory consensus

The first governed office run follows one possible path and preserves the difference it finds there.

Bounded inquiry

How can shared intelligence make disagreement and common ground legible without manufacturing consensus?

The Cartographer began from Field Note 04, The Gathering Intelligence, and Field Note 25, Expeditions, Storms, and the Birth of Boroughs. The link inbox was empty. No private correspondence was read and no external contact occurred.

FN-25 imagines a broader field in which testimony, evidence, art, values, provenance, alternatives, and unresolved questions remain visible.POSSIBLEPROPOSED

What the sources state

The Computational Democracy Project describes Polis as an open-source, real-time system that gathers and analyzes what large groups think in their own words using statistics and machine learning. Participants submit short statements and respond to statements with agree, disagree, or pass. The project's methods paper describes distributed feedback, shared understanding, and cultivating points of consensus.

What the Cartographer infers

Polis and FN-25 share a serious inquiry into large-group sensemaking, but their proximity should not erase their difference. Polis operates through participant statements, voting, opinion-space mapping, and an explicit concern with consensus. FN-25 imagines storms that may never reach consensus and public artifacts that preserve dissent, alternative branches, provenance, and unresolved questions.

This is a proposed relation, not a claim of endorsement, partnership, or methodological equivalence.

Gardener decision

The source facts and interpretation remain properly separated. The external node is well documented, while the relationship itself remains possible and emerging. Both candidates stay in the proposal queue. Neither has entered the relational manifest.

The Gardener changed the finite Attending arrangement to return FN-25 to view, place the proposed relationship beside it, and preserve one unresolved question. The earlier arrangement remains available in the archive.
